My Story
Meet Janell Morse, a Certified Medical Assistant (MA), Certified Birth Doula, and Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist. I embarked on my medical journey in 2004 when I became an MA, initially working for a large OB/GYN practice in St. Louis, MO. In 2011, my life took a turn as I moved back to my hometown in Hillsdale, MI, accompanied by the joy of adopting two children.
The transformative moment occurred when a friend approached me, asking if I had ever considered being a doula. This led to me becoming her doula for her fourth child in 2012, marking the beginning of my official journey as a birth doula. My husband and I, married for 21 years, now reside with our four of five children in the home where my grandfather grew up.
For me, the essence of being a doula lies in the ability to share knowledge and empower individuals on their unique birth journey. The honor of accompanying someone through this deeply personal experience is what fuels my passion, making each moment profoundly meaningful.
